Preface

The purpose of this “book” is to provide students in our camps and certification courses a brief and basic introduction to the R programming language, so that they may “hit the ground running” when they begin participating in our programs. The material presented here corresponds roughly to that I presented during the first three-to-four weeks of the course 36-350, Statistical Computing, when I taught it last in Fall 2020.
